Your story is what matters most to me. And I want to make photos that really showcase you for
who and what you are. Not for what anyone thinks you should be.
Trust me. Connection really is key. Connection with your photographer is what will give you the most natural looking photos. So please, shop around. Talk to other people. And find the photographer that is most right for you. I know I can’t be the perfect photographer for everyone. And I want you to have the experience of connection to bring comfort and authenticity to your photos. Because really, this isn’t about the money. It’s about your memories and the legacy you’re making.
I do things a little differently. When I’m photographing any session or wedding, my main goal is to create a space that makes everyone feel comfortable enough to be themselves. Because really, I know how hard it can be to be in front of the camera. So, you will never hear me posing people like they did for high school picture days (barf). I want to get you laughing for real. Smiling for real. Loving for real. Playing. Or, being your quiet selves walking through one of your favorite places. Because the photos that will stand the test of time and feel the most authentic to you are the ones where you can actually recognize yourself.
I have been a wedding photographer since 2009. By the end of 2019, I’ll have photographed over 100 weddings and elopements. And quite frankly, being chosen as a wedding photographer is the biggest honor that I still never take lightly. I fully invest myself in every single one of my couples and have since day one. I want to build a relationship with you. Be friends. Know you. And take time to even help you as much as I can for your actual wedding day. Which is also why I only take on a certain number of weddings a year so I can make sure I’m giving each and every one of my couples my absolute all the same way. And building those connections with people is what keeps my passion strong with this line of work and makes it so much more than just arriving as a fly on the wall taking photos of whatever happens.
I’m a natural light photographer who really chases after the most magical pockets of light I can ever find. I shoot with all Canon gear and have since my start and like to think of my actual photo style as a perfect mix of classic and modern photography. Like I said, I’m always aiming to create spaces that make you the most YOU because candids and documentary style photography is where my heart is at. But after shooting weddings so long and being married myself, I know the importance of classic formal photos too so every wedding I ever photograph will have family formals too if you want them! (And I always strongly suggest we get even a few for you guys). So really, I try to give the best of both worlds so you are really getting the full experience.
Creating these spaces for people to just be themselves and chase after only the real and raw of people has turned into my basic philosophy and shooting style. Because authentic moments are real moments. And this authenticity is what is going to create your legacy for generations to witness. From up close and personal to huge wide shots showing everything all around you, I want you to have images that tell ALL of your story. Not just some of it. Because showing all of it not only captures you, but also the time you are in. And all the places you chose that won your heart over. Because every single part of it deserves to be captured.
Whether you are country folk, city dwellers, adventurers, creatives, nerds, or anything else under the sun, I want you to be YOU. I always want to encourage my couples to get creative for their photos and am always wanting to try new and different things whenever it’s possible. And know that I’m willing to do just about anything to help make that happen. From hiking mountains trails, to exploring bourbon country, eating at your favorite restaurants, or getting creative with smoke bombs, confetti, and anything else you’d ever want to try. I’m here for you. And want you to have an experience and freedom with your photography experience like no other.
How do we book?
I require 50% deposit along with a signed contract to reserve your wedding date. My booking process is all electronic and when you are ready, I email it all to you! The remainder is due within 30 days of your wedding date. All payments are final and non-refundable. Unfortunately due to a high volume of inquiries, I cannot hold any dates without a deposit.
Do you offer payment plans?
I do! Traditionally people put 50% down along with any necessary travel fees and the remainder is due within 30 days of your wedding date. But I can split payments up to smaller increments if you wish! Feel free to ask me about this so we can make something suitable just for you.
Do you charge tax separately?
Nope! All of my taxes are included in my package pricing. But when you purchase prints through your client gallery, there is tax added to your totals depending on the state you live in.
Can I see full galleries of your work?
YES OF COURSE! I never want anyone to book with me without knowing exactly what they’re going to get. Because what makes it to my website and social media is just a fraction of what gets taken at events! See full galleries here.
Can we meet before the wedding day?
Abso-frickin-lutely. Making a great connection with every single one of my couples is absolute key to me! I want you to make sure you feel just as comfortable with me as I will. So this is actually usually a requirement for me before I book with anyone. And if we can’t meet in person, I’m more than happy to Facetime or Skype Call.
Do you travel?
Happily! I’ve actually got 2 destination weddings on my calendar for 2019 and would love to do more. I build custom packages for traveling events and am currently offering some pretty big discounts for destination weddings. So email me directly and let’s chat about your ideas!
Who owns the copyright?
While I retain the copyright of the photos from your wedding day, the contract you’ll sign gives personal print and media permissions to my couples for any non-commercial usage. If you have any concerns about privacy, please let me know!
How will we receive the photographs?
I have an online delivery system that gives you links to download .zip files of the event as well as an online gallery that you can also view and share with family/friends.
What is your turnaround time?
Your online gallery will be available 4-6 weeks after your wedding and shoots have a 2 week turn around time.
What resolution are the photos delivered in?
I always deliver photographs in the maximum resolution available after processing and in the same resolution I have on my end. Also, they will be watermark free!
