A Romantic Wedding at Cincinnati's Monastery Event Center // Ali + Chris // Cincinnati Wedding Photographer Brooke Townsend

Ali + Chris had the most beautiful day at probably my favorite venue in Cincinnati, The Monastery Event Center. The way these guys decorated that magical place felt like Hogwarts and a Disney movie had a baby together. And to add to the uniqueness of it all, Ali really embraced my advice in incorporating as many details of their love story as possible with their wedding photos! So, for their first look, we got the awesome experience to do it with Pedal Wagon because that’s how these two actually met! And honestly, that made me so frickin excited to make a part of their wedding photography story.

On top of that, their fur-baby Hendrix not only stopped by to say hi and be loved on by the entire bridal party, but also walked down the aisle as the guest of honor! So if you like doggies, fun, and all things wedding and pretty, press play and enjoy these <3

Rustic Wedding at Rolling Meadows Ranch in Lebanon, Ohio // Sam + Stephen // Cincinnati Wedding Photographer Brooke Townsend

Oh man. I have photographed quite a few weddings now at the Rolling Meadows Ranch in Lebanon which is wonderful because I live so dang close to there! But this wedding felt like it had an extra spark of magic because of two things…. 1) The sunset we got on that HOT September day was pure MAGIC. All day long. and 2) These two are the most playful and wonderful people ever!

Sam + Stephen were so fun to work with from the very beginning. They had full and total trust in me to just do my thing and let me really just have fun with them. It’s funny because they booked me without us ever meeting in person and when it came time to their engagement session, it felt like we had known each other for so long when we finally met! And I feel like that is the absolute best.

These guys kept their day traditional opting to only see each other at the ceremony. But, we made sure to carve a little time out for the c u t e s t “first touch” I’ve ever seen. And when Stephen finally saw Sam walking down that isle looking as stunning as anyone ever could be, the tears couldn’t be contained and honestly, the raw emotion between these two make some of these photos my favorites ever.

Press play and just enjoy their wedding story.

A Wedding at Rhinegeist Brewery // Kayla + Ian // Cincinnati Wedding Photographer Brooke Townsend

They always talk about in the photography world how important it is to find your ideal client in the industry. Because that will take your work to a whole new level of awesome and fun. And honestly? If I was to wrap up a description of my ideal couple, it would be these guys. Laid back, fun loving, suuuuper in love people who are not afraid to show it. And people who appreciate art over anything else with their photography.

When I met with Kayla and Ian, I remember them telling me they loved black n white photography (score) and also wanted candids more than anything else (double score). They told me too they had full trust in my work and wanted me to be able to just create and that gave me a refreshing freedom amongst the craziest time of year for me.

And because of that, I can honestly say some of these images are the most authentic and raw images I've ever taken. And they are ones I hope to create at every single wedding in the future.

So, without further ado, press play and enjoy these <3
